On the canvas, there are essentially two elements: one is nature’s landscapes and the other is human-made artifacts. Using various natural landscapes and diverse artificial objects as subjects, my work depicts a vast meadow unfolding within a living room, and the refreshing sea waves rolling in. There is a comfortable and cozy sofa, as well as fairy-tale characters such as a mermaid, Pinocchio, marionette dolls, and cute plastic figurines. My work creates a surreal world on the canvas by connecting imagination and reality through these natural landscapes and nostalgic artificial objects. I hope that viewers find comfort in the natural scenery within the artwork and that the objects evoke childhood memories, similar to my own.
화폭에는 크게 두 가지가 존재한다.하나는 자연이 만든 풍경과 인간이 만든 인공물이다.다양한 자연풍경과 여러 가지 인공물들을 소재로 거실 안에 드넓은 초원이 펼쳐지고 시원한 바다가 파도와 함께 밀려온다. 그곳에 편안하고 안락한 소파가 있고 동화 속 캐릭터인 인어공주, 피노키오, 마리오네트 목각인형, 귀여운 플라스틱 인형도 있다. 나의 작업은 이렇듯 자연풍경과 동심을 자극하는 인공물을 통해 상상과 현실을 잇는 초현실의세계를 화폭에 옮겼다. 작품을 감상하면서 작품 속 자연 풍경에서 편안함을 느끼고 사물들을 보면서 나와 같이 어린 시절 추억을 떠올리길 바란다.
